trans - Bidirectional Dictionary Lookup Tool

What is it?

trans is a small bidirectional dictionary lookup tool for Linux PDAs. It uses grep to lookup words in a gzipped dictionary file and uses opie-sh to show the results.

It comes with a German <-> English wordlist by Frank Richter <Frank.Richter_at_hrz.tu-chemnitz.de> that contains around 116000 words and phrases.

• Get the trans-de-en.ipk from here or use the TuxMobil IPK Feed.

trans is about 1.4 MB of size and installs to RAM and to CF/SD cards as well.
