Linux on the Portege 7020CT LaptopI installed Novell/SuSE 7.0 from the floppy drive in the docking station, and continued from the internal CD drive. I will try to check Debian/GNU-Linux, too. Note: You probably have to use the TECRA boot floppy therefore! BIOS
The BIOS can be reached by different programs from the MS-Windows GUI. Or from DOS
mode by GraphicsText ModeI have enabled "stretched" mode in the BIOS, so the whole display is used. X-Windows
I have used the framebuffer X server. With S3 driver (XFree86 SVGA) works, in 1024x768 16bpp, too. PCMCIAWorks with recent PCMCIA-CS packages.
But doesn't work with older ones. Or at least
you have to use certain BIOS settings, and don't use

Mouse worked with IrDANot tested yet. Sound
