Applications

Gogear On Linux Boxes - golb

Gogear On Linux Boxes - golb(http://golb.sourceforge.net) is a piece of software which searches a directory recursively for MP3 and m3u files and creates an SQLite database out of the information found. This doesn't seem to be usefull but it is! It's for people that own a Philips HDD0xx MP3 player (also called GoGear) because this one uses an SQLite database to save its songs. This software is much easier than the MS-Windows one. You only have to copy your music to the mp3 player, run golb and that's it!

Linux Digital Media Manager

ldmm(http://sourceforge.net/projects/ldmm) is a command line tool to manipulate Philips Micro Audio Jukebox Devices like the HDD060.

openGogear

openGogear(http://opengogear.sarovar.org/) is a suite of tools for working with Philips GoGear HDD0xx MP3 players under Linux. Though these devices can be mounted with the standard usb-storage module, these tools implement the file indexing required to hear MP3s.

PyGogear

PyGogear(http://www.upitup.com/pages/pierlooqup/soft.php) is a tool for using the Philips GoGear MP3 players under Linux. The GoGear Philips HDD0xx series of MP3 players can be mounted with the usb-storage module, but merely copying MP3 files onto it is not enough, since the player needs to read information about the tracks from a Sqlite database file, usually named MyDb. This program reads the ID3v1 tags from the MP3 files placed on the player and inserts the most important ones in the database.

PyMaj

pymaj(http://pymaj.sourceforge.net/) - a Python tool for MP3 player Philips Micro Audio Jukebox (also known as GoGear HDD060).

EasyH10

EasyH10(http://sourceforge.net/projects/easyh10/) is an open source project to develop a software suit for Philips iRiver H10 music players. The immediate objective of this project is: to understand the specification of the media database and playlists; and to release the softwares for the H10 players.

create-index.py

create-index.py(http://kvota.net/hacks/philips-hdd100/) is a Python program to create suitable databases.
