Beepage

Beepage is a Unix-based text paging package. Text pages sent by the client over TCP/IP are received by the provided server, which queues and transmits the data to any paging service providers that support the Telocator Alpha-numeric Protocol.

yaps

The yaps - yet another pager software suite contains a yaps config file containing all German SMS and pager services (except Scall) and a cgi script to send messages via yaps. Yaps is a standalone application to send messages to paging devices (including cellular phones) with either TAP or UCP (or simple send/expect sequences or using a scripting language). As it has only a command line interface it can be used in batch mode as well (very useful to alert an administrator if a system detects a problem). It currently compiles on Linux, SunOS and Solaris. A good example for yaps.rc.

mail2yaps is a simple email - SMS gateway for Postfix and YAPS (Yet Another Pager Software).

SMaSh

SMaSh is a program for sending messages to digital phones, pagers and other devices you can communicate with. It features a client/server architecture. One server does the SMS gruntwork, while a lightweight, portable client can be used from anywhere to submit messages. A dynamic plugin system that lets you add, delete or modify operator protocol plugins on the fly, without restarting the server. Message spooling. Buffering submitted messages for a while and then sending them all at once result in substantial cost savings for those protocols that rely on dial-up delivery. Open, HTTP-like protocol allowing anyone to create their own client.

Sendpage

Sendpage is a front end to the PET protocol used by many paging systems. PET is also known as IXO or TAP. It can dial up your paging service and send alphanumeric pages. Sendpage implements all aspects of this type of software, including a SNPP client, a SNPP server, a queuing engine, a modem control engine, a TAP communication system, and an email notification system.

g-page

g-page is a client/server program for Unix designed to send text messages to alphanumeric pagers or PCS phones with short messaging, SMS, capabilities.

g-page currently supports three protocols: SNPP (simple network paging protocol), SMTP (email), and WCTP (wireless communication transfer protocol). g-page can work on a stand-alone workstation or across a network. The server needs a live Internet connection to dispatch the page. Platforms supported: Linux, Solaris (Sparc and x86)

QuickPage

QuickPage is a client/server software package that enables you to send messages to an alphanumeric pager. The client accepts a message from the user and forwards it to a server using SNPP. The server uses a modem to transmit the message to the recipient's paging service using the TAP protocol (also known as the IXO protocol). QuickPage was originally developed for Solaris 2.x but it also works fine with most other UNIX versions, including AIX, HP-UX, FreeBSD, and Linux.
