pyHandset

pyHandset uses the Python Serial Port Extension to send Hayes AT commands to a mobile phone. It allows to backup phone book entries and sms messages. It does not provide synchronisation but allow phone book entries modification and deleting messages through a simple curses graphical user interface. It also provides a way to send or write SMS messages to memory.

SamsuTools

The SamsuTools project develops a set of tools for handling SAMSUNG mobile phones under Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD and OpenBSD systems. The tools allow you to: Transfer photos and videos recorded by your mobile phone camera to your computer. Use your mobile phone as an USB disk via a convenient FUSE file system interface. Install Java J2ME applications in your mobile phone for free over USB cable.

sambru

SamBru (Samsung Backup and Restore Utility) is a Perl script that talks to a Samsung SCH-6100 or SCH-8500 cellular phone. You can use it to back up and restore the phone book. It can save the data in either raw/native format or as vCard data so GnomeCard can be used to view and edit the data.

BitPim

BitPim is a program that allows you to view and manipulate data on LG VX4400/VX6000 and many Sanyo Sprint cell phones. This includes the PhoneBook, Calendar, WallPapers, RingTones (functionality varies by phone) and the Filesystem for most Qualcomm CDMA chipset based phones.

comsams

comsams - communicate with your Samsung mobile phone. You can download pictures, telefon entrys and display phone information. This software communicates with the phone over IrDA.
