I got the Edimax EP-4103 to work with kernel 2.2.18 (Suse 7.1.) doing the following: - add the lines to /etc/pcmcia/config

device "realtek"
  class "network"
  module "cb_enabler", "pci-scan", "cb_shim", "rtl8139"
card "Edimax EP-4103"
  version "Realtek", "Rtl8139"
  bind "realtek"
card "Edimax EP-4103"
  manfid 0x0000, 0x024c
  bind "realtek"

- Because the module cb_shim.o was missing in my distribution I had to get the new realtek-driver from Donald Becker(http://www.scyld.com/rtl8139.html) (version 1.13) and compiled cb_shim.o.

- Since the include file pcmcia/driver_ops.h was also missing I had to get the new pcmcia-package (pcmcia-cs-3.1.24).
