card name: Merlin U530 (aka E-Plus Online UMTS Notebook Card) |
card type: UMTS/GPRS Data Card |
Linux status: works partly |
. |
Kernel sees the datacard as an UART (serial device). Connection at 15200 works for me, have not persuaded the device to talk any faster (stty and setserial problems) GPRS(Green light) works UMTS(blue?) not yet (no coverage?) need to issue at+cpin=1234 (with your PIN, not 1234) via cu before the device can connect, minicom did not work. I will report more as soon as I get UMTS and faster baud rates configured." [AM] "This card is also known in Germany as E-Plus Online UMTS Notebook Card. O2 and T-Mobile sell it too. See Linux-Magazin 10/2004 page 82-85(http://www.linux-magazin.de/) (in German)." [WH] |
