The AX88190 chipset is supported since PCMCIA-CS 3.1.27 by the axnet_cs module, maybe you have to add an entry to /etc/pcmcia/config.opts. Doesn't work, with pcnet_cs driver card reports no hardware address. This can be fixed by this entry in /etc/pcmcia/config.opts module "pcnet_cs" opts "hw_addr=0x00,0x80,0xc8,0x01,0x02,0x03" but than I got eth0: interrupt from stopped card. Though not mentioned on the box, there is a Linux driver source 8390.o on the driver floppy, but IMHO this is misconfigured: card ID in the configuration file and card ID from cardctl ident don't match. For ASIX chips see BUGS(http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net/ftp/BUGS), too. Config file from ASIX driver disk: card "ASIX AX88190 Based Fast Ethernet PCMCIA Card" version "ASIX", "AX88190" bind "pcnet_cs", but see new developments in PCMCIA-CS package >= 3.1.27 |
