The modem (Lucent Scorpio, I suppose) works if I initialize it with these two strings: ATZ ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 X3 &K3 +FCLASS=0 Maybe X3 and &K3 are required only because I live in Italy, but it works for me with them and doesn't work without them."
