"I used the Lucent PCI binary driver (5.68) that I found at linmodems.org (http://www.linmodems.org/). ... All I had to do was create a symbolic link to /dev/modem, and I put that into /etc/rc.d/rc.local. I'm going to ignore those messages about missing symbols for now. ...
