HP-25, HP-34C, HP-38C, HP-41CV, HP-11C, HP-12C, HP-15C, HP-16C, and other
models. The necessary microcode is included, as is a microcode assembler.
The GTK+ toolkit is used for the user interface.
Texas Instruments - TI
TISync
TISync
transforms your Texas Instruments Calculator into a usable
PDA. It allows you to synchronize TI's Organizer application with your PC
(Evolution, iCal, or Outlook).
TiLP
TiLP
(formerly GtkTiLink) is a program to transfer data between a
Texas Instruments scientific calculator and a computer. It works with all
cables (parallel, serial, Black and Gray TI Graph Link, fastAVRlink). It
supports the TI82, TI83, TI83+, TI85, TI86, TI89, TI92, and TI92+
calculators. It can send/receive data and backups, make a capture of the
calculator screen, and do remote control, using TIGL files. Other features
include ROM dumping and IDlist.
G-Star
G-Star
is a clone of the TI-8x calculator game D-Star. It features multiple tilesets and 25 levels from the TI-8x
versions of the game.
libticables
This library
from TIcalc
provides functions to use Texas Instruments link cables for TI
calculators. It currently supports all cables on i386, including the USB one.
Supported cables may vary depending on your architecture.
libticalcs
The libticalcs
from TIcalc
provides a set of functions to communicate with Texas
Instruments calculators. It implements the TI protocol for each type of
calculator, independently of the link cable used to establish the link.
All graphing calculators from Texas Instruments are supported.
TI85 Emulator
The
TI85 calculator hardware emulator
works with FLTK and GTK toolkits on Linux workstations and PDAs, as a native MacOS-X Cocoa application, and as QT-Embedded application on iPAQ or Zaurus. In order to use it, you need a ROM image of real Texas Instruments TI85.
Connect Your TI-83 to the Internet
Telnet 83
will allow you to connect to the Internet from your TI-83 and allow you to do IRC, e-mail, or browse the World Wide Web. You need a TI-Graph Link cable, an external 9600 modem, and a cellular phone or wall jack. Telnet 83 goes a step futher than FTerm, RTerm, and ZTerm by featuring an 80x25 scrolling "virtual" screen. This allows you to run programs for Linux such as Pine.
Linux Based Calculators
Scientific Digital Assistant (SDA)
The objective of
Scientific Digital Assistant (SDA)
project is to create a low cost linux handheld that could be
useful for high school and university students, and even professors and scientific and technical professionals.
There were similar projects in the past, like
HP Xpander
, but none have seen the
light. There isn't any good and powerful scientific app for handhelds, and laptops can't be get easily for most high
school or university students in a lot of countries, so we think that a low cost linux handheld would be a good tool
for education and daily work for students that can't easily access to computers or new technologies.
The project has two main parts, hardware and software. The hardware part is being studied, and while this happens we
will use HP iPAQ to run the software environment created for the SDA.
While we are searching for some hardware base, it could be possible to run the software environment in a HP iPAQ
handheld, just like prototype.
